Update: The iPhone ordered through AT&T has not arrived yet, and it is past the promised delivery time frame. A trip to the Apple store at lunch today revealed a multiple-hour line waiting to purchase iPhones. So I still have not successfully purchased one.

There were reports that Apple stores were required to only sell a certain amount of their stock each day and then be 'sold out' yet still have enough on hand for the next day. Kind of sounds like artificially created demand. If everyone that wants one could get one the first day, the hype might die down a bit.

You guys are amazing at managing orders. I couldn't believe my server was up -- even with a few customizations -- in just at two hours! How wonderful!
