Nicely said Scott. I will remember my nine WWDC events as extraordinary experiences, from Steve's always amazing keynotes to the intensity of the thousands of attendees and the focus and customer-mindedness of the Apple employees. I was proud to be part of that team for 8 1/2 years, and I hope I will always carry that rich legacy and a much more demanding perspective with me. Working hard to do something well is always a better alternative. And congratulations on all you have accomplished!

I don't think there's really a moral takeaway from the encounters Scott had with Steve ... It's more about how Steve was so "larger than life" that these little interactions stuck with Scott for so long.

I feel like I was supposed to infer something about the story of your encounter with Steve Jobs but it must have gone over my head.

What was the takeaway from that story? That he didn't know all the apple employees?

Great story. I started my professional IT career in 1988 as a Mac engineer. We weren't even called that back then. His contributions were immeasurable. Again, great story...thanks.

Incredible story Scott... something about a man that can shift an audience on a dime and actually cause change to happen by will. We all owe a lot to him, beyond just the technology and designs his company introduced.
